Prema Mayi has been practicing bhakti yoga for 44 years. Her upbringing was in ashrams where she learned the vedic arts of music, dance and drama. She studied the philosophical conclusions of the vedas under the guidance of her spiritual masters in India and other parts of the world. Now she teaches these principles through an experience of mantra recitation, music and ritual.

Kumari + Rupa were both born in the Bhakti tradition, both Kumari and Rupa have been engaged in Kirtan since the womb. Kirtan for them is the means and the goal. It is ritual, celebratory, healing, transformational, and transcendental. With the intention and prayer to be always used as an instrument in the hands of the Divine, they have been offering kirtan together to groups all over the world for the past 10 years. Kumari and Rupa live in the Hudson Valley New York where they tend to their sacred land and engage in community through Kirtan, dance, and meditation.

Since the pandemic, she has joined forces with other devout bhakti yogis and monks and has opened an ashram in the Catskills of New York, called Bhakta Bandhav, where she is now based. Malini’s purpose is to show a raw authenticity in her art and facilitate audience members to feel deeply and have a spiritual experience.

Raghunath Cappo has been on a spiritual quest in this life! From his teens he started a punk/hardcore band called Youth of Today, which championed the principles of clean living, vegetarian diet, and self-control. By the time he was 21, his band had tens of thousands of fans around the world. He started Revelation Records, an Indy record label with his high school buddy and signed 20 bands with similar beliefs and ethics. He got into spirituality, metaphysics, and mysticism; eagerly consuming spiritual classics, his hunger only increased. This eventually manifested as strong desire to go deeper. The teachings of India drove him East and at age 22, he ended up on an ashram floor in the holy village of Vrindavan. That was 1988 — and one of the best choices he made in his life.
